Most fire and security alarm systems rely on dedicated phone lines to transmit digital signals
to the central station in the case of an alarm. This is a reliable means of monitoring, but in
most cases it’s not the most cost efficient. AIS is one of the few alarm companies in Washington
State using AES radio transmitters to provide a cost effective alternative to UL Listed alarm
monitoring. This breakthrough technology will eliminate the monthly cost of phone lines or
costly cell back-ups. Eliminating multiple phone lines means significant savings for our customers.
Rest assured, with either option, we will instantly transmit signals to the central station in
the case of an emergency, intrusion, or fire alarm.

How It Works:
AES wireless mesh network, as illustrated, utilizes the following principles:
There is a remote transceiver used to monitor or control a device such as an alarm panel.
Each transceiver relays its data to the central receiver via radio transmission.
If the transceiver is too far to reach the central receiver directly, it simply hops
the data to the next closest transceiver, and that transceiver relays it to the central receiver or to
the next closest transceiver.
The central receiver relays the data to alarm automation software for processing.
If data cannot be relayed via one route, the mesh network automatically selects the
next best route from a choice of up to 8 available routes at any given time.
The network dynamically and automatically adapts to changes in the network caused by
such things as weather changes, obstructions, and the addition or subtraction of other transceivers in
the network, so that it is highly redundant and reliable.
